This transfer market was no less than a roller coaster ride. With money flying everywhere getting a decent signing deemed impossible. Although he is the Gunner’s most expensive signing up till now, the 26 year old France International joined Arsenal for £52m which honestly is a bargain in today’s transfer market. Before joining Arsenal he played as a striker for Olympique Lyonnais’s first team. He managed to score 129 goals for Lyon in 275 matches across all competitions.

Here are a few facts about our newest signing:
Prolific Striker
He scored 28 league goals in 2016 which is the best for a French forward in a single calendar year. Jean-Pierre Papin scored the same number in 1991. Of his 28 league goals, only 2 were scored out of the box which shows how dangerous he can be once he gets inside the penalty box. He was one of the three players to make it to Ligue 1 Team of the season thrice in last 3 years.

Compared to other Arsenal Forwards
Lacazette scored 28 league goals more than what Giroud, Welbeck, Walcott and Perez scored combined. *drools*
We knew he was good but this is just too much now.
Football runs in the family
The new Arsenal man isn’t the only one in the family who’s good with their feet. His cousin Romulad Lacazette plays for second division Bundesliga team 1860 Munich. His elder brother played for a second division Swedish Team before becoming a qualified coach.
Repeated comparisons with Thierry Henry
The latest addition to Gunner’s squad has been compared to Club Legend Thierry Henry on several occasions. Obviously he doesn’t come close to this legend but still let’s see what people have to say about him.

Lyon club president, Jean-Michael Aulas praised the French striker and said that,
He’s our version of a young Thierry Henry.
The Arsenal Legend replied and said that,
What he is doing is extraordinary.
Led France at all levels
He has represented and as well Capped France at all International Youth Levels . He also scored the winning goal in 2010 in the U-19 championship against Spain, winning the match 2-1 for France.
Highest Conversion rate
He had the highest conversion rate in Europes’s top 5 leagues last season i.e. 38.9%. He beat RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner and Monaco forward Radamel Falcao to secure the highest conversion rate. He doesn’t like to waste chances I guess.
He just might be the last piece of Arsene’s puzzle. In my opinion, he’s a great addition to the squad. Here’s a video for you to enjoy some of his goals from last season:
